failing to define failing by design these infinite axioms of trust the network we’ve created is a bust and we can’t wait to leave you on your own to reap the chaos we have sewn before the bubble burst the taste of silicon was sweet now you cannot make ends meet in this new paradigm shit unenforceable compatibility it must may have been our biggest fallacy idealistic unrealistic access to information access to your very soul

the village elders grumble about a simpler time when community was something to which all were inclined the betterment of all before the betterment of one but when the self becomes the centre it’s easier said than done but if we break down the simplest of matters we can find some disturbing patterns that should be calling us all to arms but it’s so bloody inconvenient to go setting off alarms we’re so sophisticated - beyond their wildest dreams and anything we dream of becomes reality from the basest of desires - anything to suit our taste but when the dream becomes diseased we siphon our own waste

Mainframe 03:44
cell towers line the streets we stay connected every fifteen feet we’d rather starve than lose our feed think we can live off dopamine oh how we have changed our conversations strained and we grow ever estranged now that everything we do is tied into the mainframe increase the signal around the world a brain tumour for every boy and girl a mass mutation - no cause for dread just a horn growing out the back of our heads they wave away with disdain any relevant claims forcing those who complain to gather more evidence the side effects exist in bleeding gums and in cysts we know it’s true but we still stay wired in

i am the pre-millennial hanging on to my pre-millennial concepts i was born in a time before real-time world-wide feedback but my ideals are conflated and i reproach with apprehension tell me how does one relieve this pre-millennial tension give me the tablet of facial recognition give me your latte as a sign of your contrition let me be a saviour with my online petition shrink the world to fit my palm so i can hold it in my hand with my opinions blue-light myopia and hand-held distraction pixelated shiny things disguised as interaction
6.
in the new oral landscape every subject becomes a simile and every adjective a superlative i hate to think of later days where no one speaks in full sentences merely communicating with the work LIKE where hyperbole is fact - in a world obsessed with fiction no empathy or tact- and even less concern for diction i wish i could redact - these inexcusable contractions but you cannot argue facts with the literally super idiotic i know it sounds so conservative but i hear everything in the pejorative when grown men speak like 80s teens how is it possible they don’t feel demeaned i cannot stand the new grammar
7.
Intruders 03:56
to cast one’s name into the modern world means to become a target of the underworld they’ll pummel you with their twisted views and all you wanted was the fucking news information at inflated prices scavengers equipped with advertisements the new horizon of equality became a double-edged indemnity intruders that we cannot see encroaching on our privacy uprooting our democracy in a constant refutation of our individuality elated congregations wept with joy for this new internet an endless realm where all is free with the promise of neutrality but neutrality only goes so far when its terms are set by those with power and now those powers have come to collect well what the fuck did we all expect you want privacy in the extreme yet every impulse is a tweetable meme a shared identity on every device with the minutiae of your daily lives it’s no surprise that they’ve found a way to take advantage of the things you say the way you live sleep eat and dream all framed so neatly in your custom theme till there’s no way to differentiate between the things that you love or hate till there’s no way to differentiate between between the things that you do or say till there’s no way to differentiate between what is real and what you merely ideate

seemed like a good idea at the time cut of your face to spite them looking down their noses a challenge from your peers you hastily embraced but your desperation has left you disgraced you’ve disgusted all your friends did you think you’d start a trend and though the mirror makes you flinch you can say you were original since the tiniest incision made to test all the limits of just how far you’d go to defy their derision - like a jester you could tolerate the pain but not your bruised ego
